What is broker reciprocity? Simple put it allows one real estate broker to display another broker's listings on their website and visa versa. Real Estate Brokers were already able to show each other's listings but broker reciprocity allows each broker to show every home listed on their site - a change due to the digital era we all live in today.
What does this mean for buyers and sellers? For sellers it means even though you list with one brokerage, for example Pacific Northwest Realty Group, your listing will still show on other websites including remax.com, coldwellbanker.com, century21.com, era.com and many more. Pacific Northwest Realty Group in turn displays all available listings provided the agent or brokerage has placed the listing in the MLS.
For buyers this insures you're seeing every available property that has been listed with a licensed real estate brokerage and are members of the local MLS.
Broker reciprocity is also known as Internet Data Exchange or IDX.
With Pacific Northwest Realty Group you can be assured that your listing is being displayed by every national brokerage in addition to our extensive listing syndication that reaches even more websites. For more information about broker reciprocity visit the National Association of REALTORS website and read the press release, Broker Reciprocity: MLS Data for Everyone.
